Fresh 102.7 Airstaff - Dylan

Dylan
Weekdays 3pm-8pm

Born and raised in the Kips Bay section of New York City, Dylan was enchanted by radio at a very young age. "We didn't have cable TV, so I would listen to Yankee games on the radio. I was amazed at their ability to paint the picture....all of this great entertainment coming out of a small box was incredible to me."

When Dylan found the FM button and a world of music on the radio, he knew it was destined to be his future. After an internship at a New York City radio station, Dylan moved upstate to Poughkeepsie to start his on-air career. Six months later, he moved to another station in Pennsylvania. In January 1997, after a couple of years "paying his dues", a radio station back home was calling. "It felt so good to come home and broadcast from the top of the Empire State Building. As a teenager I used to gaze at that antenna dreaming. For it to become a reality was awesome!"

A music fan of practically all genres, Dylan has worked many different radio formats including classic rock, active and alternative rock, top 40, and modern/hot adult contemporary music. He's been on several New York City radio stations over the years, and has had the good fortune to have worked with the best in the business. "Let's see...without being a total name-dropper, let's just say that I have shared studios with a volatile former child star, "Mr. Worst to First", and the KING himself. It's been a fun career, without a doubt."

Shortly after Fresh signed on the air in January 2007, Dylan joined the airstaff for weekends and fill-ins. In early 2008, he became the afternoon drive host on the station. The bachelor of the Fresh airstaff, Dylan resides in Brooklyn.

On Sundays you'll find Dylan in the Bronx at his Yankee Stadium seats. "I love the new stadium. I know people who think it’s boring because of all the blue and grey. What do you expect, a rainbow? It’s the YANKS!! Blue and grey are the colors!! Have a 1.2 million dollar beer and enjoy the game.”

Dylan loves to travel across the country and around the world when he gets the chance. "California is outstanding. Wine country in Napa, Sonoma, Temecula, Santa Barbara, Livermore, all fantastic. Everyone should spend at least a full day at Joshua Tree National Park. Take a good long hike through the Muir Woods. I have been to Canada and different countries in Europe several times, but there's just too much to see and not enough time.”

All grown up, Dylan now has cable TV. He loves watching the Yanks and his favorite shows in high-def on a very large LCD.
