Deborah Gordon’s guests were George Fertitta CEO of NYC & Company and Steven Kolb, Executive Director of the Council for Designers of America (CFDA). NYC & Company was developed to create awareness about all the great things about New York City in America and abroad. The Council of Fashion Designers of America, (CFDA) is a non profit association made up of many of America’s foremost fashion and accessory designers. Spotlighted their collaborative effort, along with Vogue on Fashion’s Night Out which will be held on Thursday, September, 10. On this night, many of the city’s retailers will be holding special events and staying open until 11pm. Fashion’s Night Out is designed to help struggling retailers, and boost the economy. Many retailers will also be holding clothing drives to benefit The NY AIDS fund. Mr. Fertitta also discussed NY400 Week, commemorating the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson’s arrival in New York Harbor and will be a weeklong citywide celebration of the relationship between New York City and The Netherlands, and will culminate with Harbor Day on September 13.
